Unveiling the Powerful Xiaomi 14 Pro: Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, Titanium Build, and Much More!

Qualcomm recently introduced the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, the next flagship chipset for Android. And now, Xiaomi is quick to unveil its new Xiaomi 14 series, which will be the first smartphones to feature this chip. Learn more here.

The Xiaomi 14 and Xiaomi 14 Pro have some differences but share many features. Both devices are powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3. They have a LTPO OLED 120Hz panel that can reach a brightness of 3,000 nits. The Xiaomi 14 has a 6.36-inch 2670×1200 display, while the Xiaomi 14 Pro boasts a larger 6.73-inch 3200×1440 panel. Storage options include 256GB, 512GB, or 1TB of UFS 4.0 storage, and you can choose between 8GB, 12GB, or 16GB of RAM (only the 14 Pro offers the upper two options).

Another highlight of the Xiaomi 14 series is the introduction of Xiaomi’s new HyperOS skin.

Now let’s dive into the Xiaomi 14 Pro’s features. This updated model sports a flat, polished metal design instead of a curved display, except for the special titanium edition which has a matte finish but still features a glass back. The non-titanium versions come in black, white, and “rock green.” The Pro version also features ultra-thin bezels, although exact measurements have not been provided.

In terms of camera capabilities, the Xiaomi 14 Pro features a smaller yet brighter 50MP main sensor with a variable aperture of f/1.42 to f/4.0. It also has a second telephoto lens with a 50MP sensor and a third 50MP sensor for the ultrawide camera, which can also be used as a macro camera. The Xiaomi 14 Pro is equipped with a 4,880mAh battery and supports 120W wired charging and 50W wireless charging.

As for the regular Xiaomi 14, it also utilizes three 50MP camera sensors, including the same main sensor. However, the ultrawide camera lacks autofocus and macro capabilities. The design is similar but smaller, and there is no titanium option. Additionally, the bezels are slightly larger. The battery capacity is 4,610mAh, and wired charging is reduced to 90W, while wireless charging remains at 50W.

The Xiaomi 14 Pro starts at CNY 4,999, while the Xiaomi 14 starts at CNY 3,999. Pre-orders are now available in select regions.
