Motorola has just revealed its innovative “e-bangle” smartphone, a groundbreaking device designed to wrap around the user’s wrist like a slap bracelet.
Gizmodo previously mentioned the initial promotion of this phone back in 2016. The latest prototype features a 6.9-inch HD+ display when laid flat and a 4.6-inch display when folded to stand on its own like a tent.
This flexible device is supported by a stylish orange fabric that connects to a magnetized wrist strap. Motorola boasts its revolutionary technology that seamlessly adapts to consumers’ needs.
“Motorola has developed a cutting-edge generative AI model that operates locally on the device, allowing users to incorporate their personal style into their phone,” stated the electronics manufacturer.
For hands-free convenience on the go, simply wrap this device around your wrist like a slap bracelet.
“With this concept, users can upload or capture a picture of their outfit to generate multiple unique AI-generated images that reflect their style. These images can then be used as a custom wallpaper on the device,” continued the Chicago-based company.
This prototype was shared at the Lenovo Tech World ’23 conference in Texas.
While it is still in the conceptual stage and not available for purchase, Motorola prides itself on its revolutionary technology that perfectly molds to consumer needs.
Mashable has noted that this cuff-style concept relies on a 2,220 x 1080-pixel plastic OLED screen. Although it is lighter, thinner, cheaper, and more energy-efficient compared to a glass-based display, it is also more susceptible to scratches.
Motorola’s bendable phone announcement accompanies the introduction of several new AI features, including document summarization, sensitive information blurring, and improved document scanning.
