Capcom Faces Predicament with Cheaters in Street Fighter 6
It’s no surprise that Capcom is dealing with a growing issue of cheaters in Street Fighter 6. Over the past four months, multiple YouTube videos and online posts have showcased footage of online players exhibiting suspiciously flawless gameplay. This trend appears to be on the rise.
A recent YouTube video by Diaphone sheds light on this problem. One notable incident took place in mid-September, where a Juri player exhibited an unusual knack for Perfect Parries.
While it’s uncertain whether the player in question is a bot, it is evident that certain automated processes are enhancing their gameplay. Kalami’s Juri flawlessly Perfect Parried every crouching medium kick (4) from Guile throughout the round, as well as a medium punch.

In his video, Diaphone analyzes several suspicious replays with input history enabled. These replays reveal frame-perfect movements that would be highly unlikely for a human player to consistently execute. Additionally, the speed at which certain players climb the ranks can also serve as a sign of augmented play.
One of the players featured in the video, Lightspeed, was the first to surpass 2,300MR. At the time of writing, this account has been reset to the starting amount of 1500MR, indicating some form of developer intervention.
Capcom should be cautious in addressing this issue promptly, as the overall favorability of Street Fighter 6 has been declining in recent weeks. If fans become aware of yet another problem and perceive the developers as neglecting a solution, it could significantly impact public enthusiasm for the game.
