During Monday’s episode of “Wheel of Fortune,” viewers were left astonished when a contestant failed to solve a puzzle that only had one missing letter.
Contestant Jessica Washington provided a truly bizarre answer for a puzzle in the category “What are you doing?” The puzzle read: “DINING IN THE DINING _AR.”
Despite the puzzle being almost completed for her, Washington’s answer was: “Dining in the dining jar.”

In a brief clip of the moment on X, formerly Twitter, host Pat Sajak can be heard responding flatly to Washington’s answer with a simple “No.”
The next contestant to spin chose the letter “C” and successfully completed the puzzle.
Washington’s inability to guess “car” left some fans exasperated on social media.
However, Washington had a few defenders who pointed out that dining in a train’s dining car isn’t a common occurrence nowadays.
Despite the blunder, Washington appeared to have a fantastic time participating in “Wheel of Fortune.”
