MANILA, Philippines—In a display of frustration and passion, National University (NU) coach Jeff Napa led the Bulldogs to a victory in the UAAP Season 86 men’s basketball tournament. The team triumphed against University of Santo Tomas (UST) with a final score of 87-69 at Mall of Asia Arena. Napa’s intense emotions during the game caught the attention of the media.
Despite the win, Napa did not appear entirely content. He revealed that his frustration stemmed from the Bulldogs’ previous loss against University of the Philippines (UP) with a score of 78-60 at Araneta Coliseum.
“Actually, I’m not in the mood much to answer you guys now because I’m not the one who made the game plan for today. I walked out on them yesterday so this win is all on them. They’re the ones who played,” said Napa.
Napa jokingly added, “Our game against UP was very bad. The only thing missing was me destroying the chairs in Araneta, so for this one, credits to them. They executed today. They can do it, after all… Unfortunately, I broke my tumbler. I’ll just buy one again in Starbucks.”
