“Fast & Furious” celebrity Tyrese Gibson is taking legal action against The Home Depot, alleging racial profiling.

In a complaint filed on Wednesday, as reported by Entertainment Weekly and People, Gibson claims that he, Eric Mora, and Manuel Hernandez were discriminated against during a visit to a store in LA on February 11.

According to the lawsuit, Gibson experienced a delay at checkout due to a “glitch in the system” after making a purchase. Concerned about fans gathering around him, Gibson decided to wait in his car while Mora and Hernandez completed the transaction.

Gibson states that he informed the cashier of his plan and they agreed. However, upon returning to the store, the cashier refused to complete the transaction. A representative from Home Depot stated, “Diversity and respect for all people are core to who we are, and we do not tolerate discrimination in any form.”

A video capturing part of Gibson’s interaction with the cashier was later published online. The lawsuit alleges that “the actions of the cashier and manager were discriminatory based on race and origin.”

The trio is seeking $1 million in damages, representing the amount Gibson estimates he has spent at Home Depot over the years. They also seek a declaration that Home Depot’s actions violated California’s Unruh Civil Rights Act.
