In perfect harmony with the start of the Steam autumn sale, Blizzard has unveiled a complimentary trial week for Diablo 4, along with markdowns on all game versions. The trial period commences today and extends until November 28th.
During the free trial for Diablo 4, players can immerse themselves in the world of Sanctuary, complete with unrestricted access to co-op and crossplay. However, there is a significant restriction – progression is capped at level 20. Despite this limit, players can take advantage of Diablo 4’s Mother’s Blessing event, which is currently active, boosting XP and Gold rewards by 35% until November 27th.
Blizzard ensures that all progress made during the trial can be carried over to the full game, offering a compelling reason to make a purchase. As an added incentive, all versions of the game are currently discounted by 40% as part of the Steam sale.
This means that the standard edition of Diablo 4 is available for £35.99, reduced from the usual price of £59.99. The digital deluxe edition, which includes various cosmetics and a single premium battle pass unlock, is priced at £47.99 instead of £79.99. Moreover, the Ultimate Edition, which is essentially the deluxe edition with an extra emote and an “accelerated” battle pass unlock, is currently discounted to £50.99 from £84.99.
Back when Diablo 4 was launched earlier this year, Eurogamer’s Chris Tapsell provided a positive review, awarding it four out of five stars. “At its high points Diablo 4 feels ridiculous, absurd, operatically over-the-top, a story of comical cosmic nonsense,” he wrote. “At its worst it’s a cage of gilded content, made bespoke to fit its loudest fans and hold them enraptured in their own complaints forever more.”
