Trump Overhauls Legal Team in Anticipation of Georgia Concession

Donald Trump is set to turn himself in to authorities in Georgia on Thursday, accompanied by a new top attorney on his legal team in the state. According to CNN’s report, Trump has replaced Drew Findling with another prominent Atlanta lawyer named Steven Sadow. While Findling negotiated Trump’s $200,000 bond in the racketeering case, Jennifer Little will continue to be a part of the former president’s legal team in Georgia. In a statement, Sadow confirmed his retention as Trump’s representative in the Fulton County case and expressed his belief in Trump’s innocence against all the charges.

Findling, who goes by the hashtag #BillionDollarLawyer on social media, was hired to represent Trump in August last year. CNN’s sources claim that his replacement has nothing to do with his performance. For Trump, making sudden changes in his legal team is not unusual, as stated by the New York Times. The Times also mentions Sadow’s reputation as one of Atlanta’s finest criminal defense lawyers. Like Findling, Sadow has represented several well-known rappers and singers, including TI, Rick Ross, and Usher.

According to the Washington Post, there were approximately 50 Trump supporters and an equal number of media personnel gathered outside the Fulton County Jail in Atlanta at 8AM, long before Trump was due to arrive and be booked on felony charges. As reported by the Guardian, Trump will undergo the standard procedures for defendants, which include fingerprinting, weighing, and having his mugshot taken. Unlike his previous indictments, his mugshot will be made public. On Wednesday, Rudy Giuliani and other co-defendants had their mugshots released.
