The Pasadena Tournament of Roses has now opened applications for highly sought-after positions on the 2024 Royal Court, as announced on Tuesday.
Each year, there is a high volume of applications from teenagers and young women hoping to secure a spot on the seven-member court. These fortunate individuals have the opportunity to attend numerous community events leading up to the renowned Rose Parade and Rose Bowl Game, representing both the local community and the Tournament of Roses organization.
Selection for the court is based on a range of qualities, including public speaking skills, leadership abilities, academic success, and engagement in both the community and school activities.
To be eligible for consideration, applicants must identify as female, be between 17 and 21 years old, reside within the Pasadena Area Community College District, and maintain a minimum grade-point average of 2.0 throughout the current and previous academic year. Applicants must either be high school seniors or full-time students in any school or college within the Pasadena Area Community College District.
All court members are granted a $7,500 educational scholarship.
