Seven young women have been chosen to serve on the Pasadena Tournament of Roses 2024 Royal Court. This esteemed group will not only attend community events but also act as local ambassadors. They will have the honor of riding in the Jan. 1 Rose Parade and attending the Rose Bowl Game.
The announcement of the court members took place at Pasadena’s Tournament House on the south lawn. Nearly 200 people were present to witness this special ceremony. Out of 350 applicants from 36 area schools, 28 finalists were selected before finalizing the court members, as stated by the Tournament.
However, there is another exciting announcement yet to come. On Oct. 27, the 105th Rose Queen will be unveiled and crowned from among these seven court members, announced earlier.
The court members are chosen based on various criteria, including public speaking ability, academic achievement, youth leadership, and community and school involvement. Moreover, each court member is awarded a $7,500 educational scholarship.
Introducing the 2024 Royal Court members:
– Olivia Bohanec, La Salle College Preparatory;
– Trinity Dela Cruz, Marshall Fundamental School;
– Phoebe Ho, South Pasadena High School;
– Mia Moore-Walker, Flintridge Preparatory School;
– Jessica Powell, Flintridge Preparatory School;
– Naomi Stillitano, Arcadia High School; and
– Emmerson Tucker, Blair High School.
The Royal Court will have the opportunity to ride on a float during the 135th Rose Parade on Jan. 1. They will also attend the 110th Rose Bowl Game.
