Burberry has achieved record sales of over £3 billion as travel restrictions related to the COVID-19 pandemic have eased, resulting in increased spending by foreign tourists.

The luxury fashion retailer reported a 10% rise in revenue to £3.1 billion for the 52-week period ending April 1. This growth was driven by strong performances in Continental Europe and the Asia-Pacific region, particularly in the later part of the fiscal year.

Sales in Europe, the Middle East, India, and Africa saw the highest growth, increasing by 27%. The share of purchases made by travelers also rose to over 40%, up from less than a quarter in the previous year.
