Newlyweds Will and Rebecca Heppell went above and beyond to ensure that Rebecca’s grandmother, Peggy Dracup, could be a part of their wedding ceremony. The couple had tied the knot in a beautiful ceremony in the Cotswolds, but Peggy, who suffers from Alzheimer’s, was unable to attend. Determined to include her, the couple decided to recreate their wedding vows in the grounds of Peggy’s care home, 164 miles away. The second ceremony was an exact replica of the first, with the couple even striking the same poses. Peggy was overjoyed to be a part of the special day and although her memory is fading, she knew who they were and complimented Rebecca on her dress. The couple’s dedication to including Peggy in their celebration demonstrates their love and devotion. They wanted to create a day that she would remember forever, and according to Rebecca, it was a truly magical experience.
