In collaboration with the Third Way public policy think tank, the Wall Street Journal and College Pulse have compiled a list of the top colleges with the best value. The team estimated the net cost of attending a college for four years, including tuition, room and board, books, and other necessities. They then compared this cost to the median salary of graduates from the school with the median salary of high school graduates in the state where the school is located. The following are the top 10 colleges in terms of value, along with the estimated time it would take to pay off a four-year degree based on the median salaries 10 years after enrollment:
