TikTok User Reveals Ingenious Hack to Avoid iCloud Storage Costs Without Deleting Precious Photos and Important Emails

  • A TikToker has shared a brilliant method to bypass Apple’s iCloud storage fees
  • Amazon Prime users can utilize the Amazon Photos app for unlimited photo storage

A TikToker has come up with a clever solution to avoid paying for iCloud Storage while keeping valuable photos and important emails intact.

Apple only provides 5GB of free storage to iCloud users, which pales in comparison to Android’s generous offer of 15GB.

To avoid having to pay for additional storage, Apple users are required to manage iCloud Backup, iCloud Drive, iCloud Mail, and iCloud Photo Library within this limited space.

User Sarah Adekola shared this tip on her social media platform and advised her followers to download the Amazon Photos: Photo & Video App.

Since its posting last week, this ingenious hack has received 44 saves and 24 shares from fellow savvy savers.

Adekola explained: ‘You can receive 5GB of free photo and video storage from Amazon.

‘Simply download Amazon Photos and log into your account.’

The app provides the same amount of free storage as Apple at 5GB, but Prime users are granted unlimited space for their photos and videos.

Additionally, the app offers free Google Drive storage space for Prime users. The description states: ‘All Google Drive users receive 16 gigabytes of free storage across Gmail, Google Drive, and Google Photos.’

A Prime Membership costs only two pounds more than Apple’s highest storage option and includes unlimited storage along with access to all of Prime’s benefits.

Apple provides four storage options: 5GB (free), 50GB (£0.79), 200 GB (£2.49), and 2 TB (£6.99).

With over 260,000 followers, the @millenialwealthsarah account shares money and life tips. Adekola frequently posts and has previously shared other ingenious hacks, such as a Google Flights trick to find cheap plane tickets, as well as her financial opinions.
