TAPE Inc.’s finance officer, Bullet Jalosjos, dismissed allegations by former Senator Tito Sotto III that proposed changes to “Eat Bulaga’s” programming were politically motivated. According to Sotto, owner Romeo “Romy” Jalosjos Sr. wanted to replace the noontime show’s “Bawal Judgmental” with a new segment called “Search for Kasambahay.” Bullet Jalosjos stated that while there are discussions about producing a segment for domestic helpers, nothing has been confirmed or implemented yet. He added that focusing on a minority or marginalized sector to bring happiness through contests and entertainment is not wrong. During the interview with CNN Philippines’ The Source, Jalosjos also denied rumors of using the proposed segment as a stepping stone to launch a party-list group. He stated that they are currently exploring a segment that can turn into a contest for domestic helpers around the world. Moreover, he expressed his happiness for the original hosts of “Eat Bulaga,” who have transferred to another network.
