The Street Fighter 6 community widely agrees that Ken, Luke, and JP take up the top three spots on the game’s tier list right now, but confidently filling in even just the next two spots is proving surprisingly difficult.
Chun-Li, Cammy, Dee Jay, Juri, and Guile all feel like they could be matter of fact “top five” characters, but really only two of them can be if we accept the aforementioned best three. In our most recent episode of Talk and Block, Catalyst and I offer up and debate each others’ top 10 tier lists.
Though we agree on a top 10 (with honorable mention caveats that could eek their way into the main discussion with time) Catalyst and I don’t exactly line up on who lands where.
The characters we aim to order in spots 4-10 are (in no particular order) as follows: Chun-Li, Blanka, Cammy, Dee Jay, Juri, Rashid, and Guile.
It’s no secret that Capcom paid special attention to balance in Street Fighter 6, and the fact that ordering the top 10 is so damn hard stands as yet another testament to stellar job that’s been done (at the very least in relation to previous Street Fighter game balances).
A lot of this will naturally come down to personal opinion via personal experience, but we luckily do have a helpful new data point as we recently noted how many times each character has been used to qualify for this year’s Capcom Cup.
