In a conversation with Cameron Diaz for Interview magazine, Lawrence expressed her appreciation for the free time she has in between filming.
“Having just my home is amazing,” she said. “It helps me filter through potential projects: ‘Yes. No. Yes. No. Yes. No. Is it worth being away from my child for half the day?'”
“Luckily, my husband is an exceptional father, so when I’m working, I don’t feel any more guilt than the normal guilt of being a parent,” added the actress.
When asked about raising a child as a celebrity, Lawrence stated, “The most important thing is to ensure he knows he is loved and that he is our top priority. We also strive to be positive examples of kindness.”
“I know there will be challenges related to my choices and lifestyle, and we will handle them when the time comes,” she acknowledged.
Lawrence also revealed to Diaz that becoming a parent has brought more calmness and relaxation when dealing with the paparazzi, a situation that used to anger her.
“Since he arrived, I’ve realized that my energy is more crucial to him than anything else,” she explained. “If he senses my anxiety or anger when we’re out, it will affect him.”
“I don’t want him to inherit my anxiety and anger,” Lawrence emphasized.
