The highly anticipated MonsterVerse returns with the thrilling new trailer of “Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire.” This marks the fifth installment following Legendary Pictures’ 2021 feature “Godzilla vs. Kong,” directed by the talented Adam Wingard.
Reprising their roles from the 2021 film, Rebecca Hall, Brian Tyree Henry, and Kaylee Hottle return as Dr. Illene Andrews, Bernie Hayes, and Jia, respectively. The cast also includes newcomers Dan Stevens and Fala Chen.
As per the official synopsis, “The New Empire” promises a new adventure with Godzilla and Kong facing an immense undiscovered threat. Delving into the histories of these iconic Titans, the film will also uncover the mythic battle that forged their connection to humankind.
This latest addition to the Godzilla franchise is the 38th film, while for King Kong, it’s the 13th film. “Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire” is set to hit theaters on April 12, 2024, with acclaimed writers Terry Rossio, Jeremy Slater, and Simon Barrett, and a stellar production team consisting of Mary Parent, Alex Garcia, Eric McLeod, Brian Rogers, Thomas Tull, and John Jashni.
