After the release of Panic! At the Disco’s seventh studio album, “Viva Las Vengeance,” in August 2022, Urie embarked on a tour.
A couple of months later, Urie announced the band’s split following the European tour.
Urie expressed gratitude for the opportunities he has had throughout his musical journey and announced that he will be focusing on fatherhood as he and his wife Sarah Urie are expecting their first child together.
He stated, “But sometimes a journey must end for a new one to begin. We’ve been trying to keep it to ourselves, though some of you may have heard… Sarah and I are expecting a baby very soon! The prospect of being a father and witnessing my wife becoming a mother is both humbling and exciting. I look forward to this next adventure.”
Urie concluded, “That being said, I am bringing this chapter of my life to a close and redirecting my focus and energy towards my family. With that, Panic! At The Disco will cease to exist.”
