The collective sanity of the green mafia comes undone

As we grow older, we gain the advantage of reflecting on the inaccurate predictions made by futurists. I still eagerly await my flying car and jet pack, and it seems that moon and Mars colonization, as well as underwater colonies, are yet to become a reality.

Climate is an area where inaccurate predictions abound. In the 1960s, we were warned about famine caused by overpopulation. In the 1970s, an imminent ice age was predicted. The depletion of fish in the oceans and the ozone layer hole were also major concerns. Then, the concept of global warming emerged, accompanied by even dire predictions. When these predictions failed to materialize, the term “climate change” was coined to label any natural disaster or unusual weather event as a consequence of human-driven greed and gluttony.

In 2019, Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez made a bold prediction, stating that the world would end in 12 years if immediate action against climate change was not taken. Four-and-a-half years later, we are still here. However, this hasn’t stopped the fervor of the green movement, which has implemented extreme laws and policies under the banner of environmental justice.

KING CHARLES III LAUNCHES ‘CLIMATE CLOCK’ THAT ‘TELLS US WHAT TO DO AND BY WHEN’

The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services has established the Office of Climate Change and Health Equity, reminiscent of George Orwell’s “1984”, in order to address the impact of climate change on Americans’ health. This office aims to pursue “environmental justice and equitable health outcomes through climate change and health policy, programming, and analysis.” It won’t be surprising if this organization declares climate change to be a national health emergency and imposes COVID-like restrictions to combat the perceived climate crisis.

Recently, California implemented a law that prohibits pre-2010 large trucks and buses from operating on the state’s roadways. This rule applies to diesel vehicles weighing at least 14,000 pounds and affects 200,000 vehicles, including 70,000 big rigs, which constitutes 10% of the commercial motor vehicles in the state. As a result, supply chain disruptions and inflation have worsened in the Golden State.

In order to meet the European Union’s carbon reduction goals, the government of Ireland has proposed culling (an indirect way of saying killing) 200,000 cows, which would effectively reduce the nation’s dairy herd by 10%. This move received criticism from Elon Musk himself.

Not to be outdone, New York City has put forth new regulations for wood- and coal-fired pizza ovens in the city’s five boroughs. The proposal suggests that all wood- and coal-fired pizza ovens installed before 2016 be equipped with emission control devices. This would impact approximately 100 restaurants, with each eatery facing costs ranging from $20,000 to $30,000.

However, the pinnacle of insanity in this regard belongs to the Biden administration. In a storyline reminiscent of “The Simpsons,” a document on the White House website reveals that the administration is open to studying how to block sunlight as a method to combat climate change. The White House Office of Science and Technology Policy has been researching “geoengineering” techniques to prevent the sun’s rays from exacerbating global warming.

Have we reached the limits of this green insanity? It’s highly doubtful.

A quick look at the internet shows us a plethora of outlandish ideas to combat climate change. These include creating artificial volcanoes to spew ash into the atmosphere for cooling purposes, using wind-powered pumps to refreeze melting Arctic ice, painting a section of the Andes mountains white, introducing asbestos into the atmosphere to remove carbon dioxide, and adding glass particles to ice. Any guesses as to what Rep. Ocasio-Cortez might propose next? Let’s hope she takes a break from using “search engines” since they require fossil fuels.
