NBC’s coverage of the Kansas City Chiefs and New York Jets game at MetLife Stadium was dominated by pop superstar Taylor Swift. Swift made an appearance to support her rumored beau, Travis Kelce, and the broadcast went all out to capture every moment.
The broadcast included a trailer featuring Swift’s music, a camera tracking her and her entourage in the stadium’s garage area, and shots of her in the suite with famous friends such as Blake Lively, Ryan Reynolds, Hugh Jackman, and even Donna Kelce. It was a star-studded event.

Front Office Sports reported that there were a whopping 17 cutaways to Swift in the suite, capturing her every move. Viewers even noticed her picking at her nails in anticipation as the game became more intense. The broadcast also featured two commercials promoting Swift’s film about the Eras Tour.
Initial reports from TV Line and TMZ Sports revealed that the Chiefs-Jets matchup drew an impressive 20.2 million viewers. This represented an increase from the previous week’s Steelers-Raiders game and was on par with the viewership of the Cowboys-Giants game.
NBC later released comprehensive numbers, taking into account viewership across all platforms, including the channel, streaming, NBC Sports Digital, and NFL Digital platforms. The total audience was estimated to be around 27 million viewers, with a peak of 29.4 million during the game.
