The Philadelphia Eagles found redemption on Monday night in a Super Bowl rematch against the Kansas City Chiefs — and they emerged victorious.
The Eagles’ 21-17 win over the Chiefs attracted 28.96M viewers across ABC and ESPN, making it the largest audience for Monday Night Football in 27 years, since the Packers-Cowboys matchup in November 1996 that had over 31M viewers.

This viewership notably surpassed the previous MNF record after its simulcast on ESPN, which was the Week 1 Bill-Jets game with 22.67M viewers this season.
The second-largest audience of the week was during the NFL national window on CBS, featuring the Jets-Bills in most markets. This drew nearly 21M viewers, marking a decrease compared to Week 10, becoming the smallest NFL national window audience since Week 1.
CBS experienced declines across its entire doubleheader, with the earlier window receiving 12.75M viewers. The network’s last doubleheader in Week 8 drew nearly 14M for the early matchup.
NBC recorded a strong audience with 18.45M tuning in for the Vikings-Broncos game, higher week-over-week and year-over-year for the network. Fox’s singleheader, which broadcast the Panthers-Cowboys in a majority of markets, also attracted over 18M viewers.
Prime Video also claims a “W” for its presentation of the Bengals-Ravens Thursday Night Football matchup. With 12.92M viewers, the game garnered the franchise’s largest average audience in five weeks, up 25% compared to last season’s comparable game and 35% over last week’s TNF delivery.
