Several vandalism and hate crimes involving the spray painting of swastikas on vehicles in Los Angeles County are currently under investigation, as announced by the police on Saturday.
The Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) and the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department are collaborating on the investigation.
The LAPD is looking into incidents in the Pacific and 77th Street areas, while earlier reports indicated that swastikas were found spray-painted on multiple vehicles in the Ladera Heights and View Park-Windsor Hills neighborhoods in southwest Los Angeles County.
Sheriff’s officials stated that the victims discovered the vandalism on Friday morning, after their vehicles had been parked on neighborhood streets overnight. No specific addresses were provided. The affected neighborhoods are located just south of Kenneth Hahn State Recreational Area.
No immediate information regarding the suspects was available, and the exact timing of the crimes remains unclear.
