A Spotify executive has referred to Prince Harry and Meghan Markle as “grifters,” just a day after it was announced that the Sussexes and the streaming platform had terminated their partnership. Bill Simmons, Spotify’s head of podcast innovation and monetization, made these remarks during an episode of his podcast, The Ringer. In response to a comment about his involvement in negotiations, Simmons expressed his frustration at not having been involved in the deal and sarcastically stated that the “grifters” should have launched their podcast on his platform.
