The highly anticipated Taylor Swift mini-residency at SoFi Stadium will commence on Thursday, attracting a multitude of fans to Inglewood. To alleviate traffic congestion and parking issues, transit officials strongly advise the use of public transportation.
Before the commencement of the Eras Tour shows, a pre-event merchandise sale was held on Wednesday, drawing thousands of eager fans to the stadium. Swifties patiently waited for hours to purchase tour memorabilia such as T-shirts and sweatshirts. Another merchandise sale will take place on Sunday from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. at Lake Park, located near SoFi Stadium. This sale coincides with Swift’s off day in her six-night schedule at SoFi.
The official start of the Eras Tour at SoFi is on Thursday night, followed by performances on Friday, Saturday, Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday. Tickets were in high demand, with stadium officials reminding the public that individuals without tickets will not be granted access to the venue, regardless of their intentions to listen to the music or enjoy the atmosphere from outside.
Once the show has commenced, according to the stadium’s website, nobody will be allowed to remain in the parking lots or linger outside the stadium. Only ticketed guests will be granted entry to the venue.
On-site parking is extremely limited, prompting concert-goers to purchase parking spaces in advance. However, it is likely that most spaces are already sold out.
Metro officials strongly recommend that Swift fans utilize public transportation to avoid parking difficulties. Additional bus and train services will be provided on show nights to facilitate transportation to and from the stadium.
Fans can take the recently opened Metro K Line to Downtown Inglewood Station and then board a free shuttle bus to SoFi Stadium. The shuttle will operate from 3:30 to 6:30 p.m. before each show and continue for 90 minutes after the concert ends. Those traveling on the E (Expo) Line can transfer to the K Line at the Expo/Crenshaw Station.
For fans coming from the South Bay or other areas, the C (Green) Line can be taken to Hawthorne/Lennox Station, where a free shuttle service will also be available during the same hours.
Visitors from out of town staying at hotels near Los Angeles International Airport can utilize the Metro 117 bus, which stops at multiple locations on Century Boulevard. This bus can be then ridden to the Century/Yukon station adjacent to the stadium. The bus service will continue until 90 minutes after the concert.
Metro plans to have agency staff, ambassadors, and additional security personnel stationed at multiple stations to assist Swift fans who may be unfamiliar with the train system. Additional staff will be available at the Expo/Crenshaw Station (for the E and K lines), K Line Downtown Inglewood Station, C Line Norwalk and Hawthorne/Lennox stations, and the Seventh/Metro Center Station downtown, serving the A (Blue), B (Red), D (Purple), and E lines.
