Shooting in Del Rey Area Near Venice Leaves Three Injured

In the Del Rey community northeast of Venice, a shooting took place on Tuesday, injuring three men. One suspect has been apprehended, while authorities are searching for another suspect who fled the scene on foot.

The incident occurred around 3 a.m. Tuesday on Allin Street, which is a few blocks west of the San Diego (405) Freeway, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.

Police reported that an argument between two men escalated when one of them pulled out a handgun and injured the other. A man in a vehicle then fired at the gunman and another individual who was not involved in the initial argument, stated Officer Drake Madison of the LAPD’s Media Relations Division.

The injured gunman was swiftly transported to a hospital by paramedics, and his condition was listed as stable, Madison confirmed.

“The victims were taken to a local hospital by a private vehicle and the Los Angeles Fire Department. Both victims are in stable condition,” he added.

The first suspect has been detained and is currently hospitalized. However, he is not cooperating with the police. Meanwhile, the second suspect fled on foot, and his vehicle has been impounded, said Madison.

No further details are currently available.
