Authorities are currently searching for the perpetrator responsible for the tragic incident at a Metro Orange Line bus stop in Reseda, which resulted in one fatality and one injury.
Upon receiving a report of a shooting at the intersection of Reseda Boulevard and Oxnard Street at approximately 7:30 p.m. on Friday, officers from the Los Angeles Police Department discovered two victims in the parking lot. Both individuals had suffered multiple gunshot wounds.
Emergency medical personnel swiftly transported both victims to a nearby hospital. Unfortunately, Brandyn Rodrigo Mendez, a 28-year-old resident of Van Nuys, succumbed to his injuries. Meanwhile, the other victim remains in stable condition.
“The two victims had just arrived at the Orange Line bus station when they encountered the suspect,” stated the police. “During the altercation, the suspect brandished a handgun and proceeded to discharge multiple rounds at the victims. The suspect promptly fled the scene.”
