Shaun Bradley, Eagles Linebacker, Sadly Ruled Out for Season After Achilles Injury

PHILADELPHIA — The Philadelphia Eagles have suffered a major setback as linebacker Shaun Bradley is set to miss the rest of the season due to a torn Achilles, according to a source from ESPN.

Bradley confirmed the unfortunate news in an Instagram post on Sunday, expressing his disappointment, “Not how I wanted the season to end for me. But I believe that God truly does give his toughest battles to his strongest soldiers.”

The injury occurred in the third quarter of the Eagles’ 20-19 loss to the Baltimore Ravens during punt coverage. Bradley was surrounded by his teammates as he was carted off the field.

Bradley, a core special teams player for Philadelphia, had played in 69% of special teams snaps in 2022. Over his three-year tenure, he started one game at linebacker and recorded 45 tackles.

Following the departures of T.J. Edwards and Kyzir White in free agency, there is uncertainty surrounding the Eagles’ linebacker position. Nakobe Dean is expected to secure one of the starting spots, while Nicholas Morrow and Christian Elliss are currently sharing first-team snaps.

In search of veteran depth, the Eagles recently signed Myles Jack and Zach Cunningham to one-year deals.

Temple alum Bradley was drafted by the Eagles in the sixth round of the 2020 NFL draft. He is set to become a free agent after the season concludes.
