Sarah Jessica Parker reminisces about her recent trip to her holiday home in Co Donegal

As millions of television viewers eagerly awaited the latest episode of “And Just Like That,” anticipating the possible rekindling of a love affair between Sarah Jessica Parker (SJP) and her former beau Aidan, SJP shifted her focus to her beloved Irish holiday experiences on Instagram. She shared moments of smelling the turf, cooking delicious meals, and enjoying the charm of Kilcar, Co Donegal, where she and her husband Matthew Broderick frequently vacation.

In a recent Instagram post, SJP expressed her gratitude for their culinary adventures in Ireland and shared accompanying images of their memorable meals. She reflectively wrote, “Photos never fully capture the essence, and there is always more to the experience. You should have seen it.”

She continued, “We indulged in the flavors of Ireland – biting into delicious meals, immersing ourselves in the fragrance of the turf, gazing at the sea, cherishing heartfelt conversations, savoring perfectly cooked dishes like chops and spuds, admiring vibrant colors, feeling the texture of tweed, and enjoying a cup of tea. It was an exquisite experience, and we can’t wait for the next time. With love, SJP.”

Taking a page from Matt Damon’s memorable Supervalu bag moment in Dalkey two years ago, SJP found herself in Supervalu in Donegal. As luck would have it, she stumbled upon her very own Invivo X, SJP wine brand in the wine aisle, with the Sauvignon Blanc and Sud de France Rosé on special offer at just €16 per bottle.

Despite the less-than-ideal weather, SJP and Matthew Broderick found joy in cooking at home. They savored a plate of York cabbage, indulged in Charleville mature red cheddar and Horgan’s traditional salami, and added a touch of tang with Kühne pickled gherkins.

Amidst their holiday adventures, SJP dedicated some time to reading. Her selected novels included “The Splendid” and “The Vile” by Erik Larson, as well as “Seating Arrangements” by Maggie Shipstead.

Capturing the essence of the town, SJP also shared photos of Doherty’s fishing tackle shop, featuring its retro wall art. Finally, she showcased a stunning Magee 1866 ‘Mourne’ blazer in salt and pepper pink tweed, highlighting its “designed and woven in Donegal” label. Rumor has it that last Monday, SJP was spotted in town wearing a pink jacket, reminiscent of her previous purchase of the ‘Faye’ lambswool mac coat from Triona Design shop, which later made an appearance in episode six of the “SATC” reboot.
