Ryanair Mocked a Man Who Proposed to His Girlfriend on a Flight

  • Ryanair playfully mocked a man who proposed to his girlfriend during one of their flights.
  • People on X, formerly known as Twitter, also had fun teasing the airline’s extra fees.
  • In a witty response, the airline jokingly informed a person on X that they charged a proposal fee for the couple.

Ryanair humorously mocked a man on social media for proposing to his girlfriend on one of their European low-cost carrier’s flights.

Lee Parsons and Leah Louise King were on a Ryanair flight to Spain on August 6 when Parsons decided to propose, as reported by the Daily Mail.

“Proposed to Leah on a @Ryanair flight with her family there. Luckily she said Yes,” Parsons shared the story on X, formerly known as Twitter.

The official X account of the airline responded playfully to Parsons’ post, teasing him and his fiancée.

“Leah, blink twice for random seat allocation,” Ryanair wrote in their response.

This humorous reply from the budget airline also drew funny comments from other X users, who made jokes about Ryanair’s fees for extra services.

“No free champagne for the beautiful couple?” one user asked the airline.

“Are you new here?” Ryanair replied.

“Did they charge you extra?” another user asked.

“Proposal fee,” the airline responded.

Jokes aside, Ryanair actually played a part in the proposal by providing assistance. Parsons mentioned that the crew was very helpful and even gifted the couple two complimentary bottles of wine.

Some X users have inquired if Parsons was paid by the airline for the proposal.

“I wish, although I wouldn’t say no to free flights,” Parsons replied.

Representatives from Ryanair have yet to respond to a request for comment from Insider outside of regular business hours.
