RTÉ presenter Carl Mullan feels incredibly fortunate as he and wife Aisling welcome their second child.

The couple delightedly took to Instagram on Monday morning to share the wonderful news of the arrival of their baby girl last week. Accompanied by a heartwarming black and white photo of their newborn, Carl and Aisling expressed their joy and excitement.

In their touching dual post, they exclaimed, “We’re thrilled to introduce our daughter, Éala Mullan, who arrived a little earlier than expected on 16/08, just like her big brother! What a delightful surprise! Our household now has another Girlie Wirlie!”

To capture the special moment, the Dancing With the Stars winner shared a heartwarming video montage of himself at Holles Street Hospital, eagerly welcoming Éala with a cozy car seat before tenderly holding her in his arms.

The adorable post was enhanced with the beautiful melody of Ed Sheeran’s song “Celestial.”

In the caption, Carl lovingly shared with his followers that both Éala and Aisling were healthy and content. He expressed their joy of treasuring every precious moment since Éala’s birth.

“Welcome to the world, Éala Mullan,” the proud presenter wrote. “Our beautiful little girl arrived last week, and she and her Mam are doing wonderfully. These past few days have been filled with pure bliss as we cherish her presence.”

“To Éala and her superhero Mam, our amazing Aisling, I know you’ll blush reading this because you prefer not to be in the spotlight, but you are truly extraordinary. We are immensely lucky to have you. Thank you for giving us the gift of our beautiful son and now our beautiful daughter. We love you more than words can say,” Carl expressed his appreciative sentiments.

Additionally, Carl couldn’t resist adding with a touch of humor, “To Éala, if you stumble upon this post years later and feel embarrassed, I apologize for being such an embarrassing Dad. But trust me, you’ll get used to it!”

The couple’s fans and friends immediately flooded the post, offering their heartfelt congratulations on the newest addition to their wonderful family.

Love Island winner Greg O’Shea rejoiced, saying, “Beautiful. So happy for you two awesome people. You deserve all the happiness in the world.”

Carl’s RTÉ 2fm co-host Doireann Garrihy left a series of heart emojis, while Virgin Media’s Zara King added, “Guys, congratulations. What a beautiful little dolly xx.”

Fellow radio star Emma Power exclaimed, “Beautiful. Massive congratulations to you both and Daibhí.”

Carl and Aisling sealed their love in a heartfelt ceremony at Ballybeg House in Co Wicklow last April, surrounded by their dearest friends and family.

Their intimate wedding included their nine-month-old son, Daibhí, and their loyal dog, Angie, as witnesses to their love and commitment.

Having known each other since childhood in their hometown of Perrystown, Carl and Aisling’s love story finally intertwined in 2016.
