Revlon Addresses Heather Rae El Moussa’s TikTok Lip Liner Experience

  • Heather Rae El Moussa made an interesting revelation on TikTok. She discovered a Revlon lip liner in her husband’s van, even though she doesn’t use Revlon products. Heather decided to throw the lip liner out of the vehicle.
  • In response, Revlon posted a playful video featuring an employee jokingly saying they left the lip liner behind.
  • A TikTok standoff appears to have unfolded between reality TV star Heather Rae El Moussa and cosmetics giant Revlon.

The drama began when Heather, known for her role in “Selling Sunset,” shared a TikTok video revealing that she found a Revlon lip liner in her husband Tarek El Moussa’s sprinter van.

“Revlon? I don’t wear Revlon,” Heather declared in the video as she discarded the lip liner.

In the caption, Heather acknowledged that she knew the lip liner belonged to Tarek’s sister, but humorously suggested that women should always make their partners sweat. The video has gained over 4 million views since its upload on Monday, catching the attention of Revlon’s social media team.

In response, Revlon posted their own video on Tuesday featuring an employee comically pretending to catch the discarded lip liner.

“Thanks girl, I’ve been looking for that! And I want my ski pants back,” the employee remarked, referring to a comment made by Tarek in Heather’s video. Tarek mentioned finding ski pants three years ago, leading viewers to speculate about the discovery.

Both videos showcased lip liners from discontinued lines, identifiable by their pink tubes and black caps. Revlon currently offers the ColorStay Longwear Lip Liner, which features pencils and caps matching the makeup’s color.

Revlon’s response video has garnered over 976,000 views and sparked interest in their lip liner among viewers.

“I don’t wear Revlon, but now I might 😂,” wrote one commenter.

Another TikTok user commented, “Don’t mind me, just going to buy some Revlon lip liner.”

Revlon has undergone significant changes in recent years, including filing for Chapter 11 bankruptcy in the summer of 2022. The company faced challenges such as debt, competition from other beauty brands, and supply-chain issues. However, in May 2023, Revlon was rescued by lenders and emerged from bankruptcy, as reported by Reuters.

Representatives for Revlon and Heather have not yet responded to Insider’s requests for comment.
