At least 10 individuals were injured in a prominent motorcycle-themed establishment in Orange County on Wednesday evening. Unverified reports suggest that three individuals have lost their lives in the incident. Disturbing footage from the scene clearly displays two bodies covered in sheets outside the bar located at Santiago Canyon Road.
KCAL9 informed that law enforcement officials have apprehended the suspected shooter, who may have also sustained gunshot wounds from a sheriff’s deputy. The condition of the suspect remains unclear.
The Orange County Sheriff’s Department, on X (formerly Twitter), mentioned that there were “believed to be multiple victims from gunshot.” The department further added that no immediate information is available regarding the incident.
Witnesses at the scene reported that close to nine or ten people were targeted by gunfire. In response, law enforcement officials and numerous paramedics promptly arrived at the site, leading to the closure of surrounding streets.
The establishment in question, Cook’s Corner, is widely recognized as a popular destination for bikers. The building itself is considered to originate from the late 1800s, however, it only began operating as a restaurant in the 1920s. The venue proudly touts itself as “one of the most renowned biker bars in Southern California.”
On the evening of the incident, the bar/restaurant was hosting a special offer of an $8 spaghetti dinner, accompanied by a live band performance starting at 6:30 p.m., with the gunfire erupting approximately an hour later.
