Ranking of Top and Worst Motorway Services as Rated by Drivers: Discover Why Rugby Claims the No.1 Spot for Affordable Dining and Impeccable Restrooms

More than 30,000 drivers have participated in a poll to determine the best and worst motorway service stations in Britain. For the second consecutive year, Moto Rugby services on the M6 has been crowned the nation’s top motorway station. Despite only opening in 2021, it has already received a 100% satisfaction score. The service station offers amenities such as car parking spaces, food outlets, ultra-rapid charging points for electric vehicles, play areas for children, and even a dog walking area. In contrast, the survey also highlighted the stations that received less positive feedback. To explore the ratings for each of the 120 service stations, an interactive map is provided. Overall, the average satisfaction score for all sites was 94%, indicating a generally positive opinion about motorway services. However, there is still room for improvement, especially regarding food and drink prices. The survey also revealed that visitors appreciated the improved toilet facilities and friendly staff. Stopping at a service station had a positive impact on drivers’ mood, reducing fatigue and frustration. Moto Rugby services has set a new standard for motorway stations, and its success is attributed to its cleanliness, wide range of food and drink options, and friendly staff. The station is also environmentally-friendly, equipped with sustainable drainage systems, biomass energy boilers, and energy-efficient windows. With its affordable pricing and amenities, Moto Rugby services has become a popular choice for the three million visitors it receives annually. Moto CEO Ken McMeikan expressed his delight at winning the award for a second year in a row and highlighted the company’s commitment to continually improving the rest stop experience by offering services tailored to various needs. The top ten ranked service stations included Moto Rugby, Killington Lake, Annandale Water, Wetherby, Stafford South, Corley South, Chester, Reading East, Leeds Skelton Lake, and Ferrybridge. On the other end of the spectrum, Welcome Break’s Hartshead Moor East received the lowest overall satisfaction rating of 84%. However, ongoing refurbishments are expected to enhance its performance in future surveys.
