New York bike maker Priority Bicycles has launched its latest innovation, the “most compact and versatile bicycle yet” called the Folder. This folding bike collapses down to a convenient size of 30 x 24 inches, making it perfect for easy transport and storage. Priced at under $800, the Folder features a durable Gates Carbon Drive and a geared hub.
According to Priority Bicycles CEO Dave Weiner, there has been a high demand for a folding bicycle from their customers. They wanted a bike that was durable, easy to maintain, and provided an enjoyable riding experience. The Folder was designed to meet these requirements while keeping the price affordable.
Unlike Priority Bicycles’ other models such as the 600HTX trail bike and the Classic commuter, the Folder does not come with motor assist. Riders will have to rely on pedal power alone to get around.
This smartly designed bicycle features a low-maintenance Gates Carbon Drive belt connected to a 7-speed Shimano Nexus internally geared hub. It rides on 20-inch double-wall alloy rims fitted with WTB Cruz tires and comes with reliable V-brakes for stopping power.

The Folder is equipped with a telescoping seatpost and adjustable stem to accommodate riders ranging from 4.5 to 6.33 ft (1.37 – 1.93 m) in height. It also features a rear cargo rack for carrying gear and has a maximum capacity of 230 lb (104 kg), including the rider.
When unfolded, the 29-lb (13-kg) Folder measures 60 inches long and 44 inches tall (152.4 x 111.76 cm). However, it can collapse down to a compact size of 30 x 24 inches (76.2 x 60.9 cm) in just three simple steps. Priority Bicycles has reinforced the frame and handlebar hinges of the Folder for added durability.
Eddie Meek from Priority Bicycles assures commuters that the Folder provides confidence and convenience. It is a compact solution for RV-ers, boaters, and campers, eliminating the worry of rust, grease, and tune-ups typically associated with traditional chain and cassette bicycles.
The Folder is now available for pre-order at $799, with an exclusive launch discount of $50 for early buyers. Shipping is estimated to start at the end of this month. Watch the video below for a closer look at the features.
