Prince Harry expresses interest in interviewing Vladimir Putin and Donald Trump about childhood trauma

Harry engaged in discussions with various producers and production houses to develop a potential podcast series for an audio streaming platform, as reported by Bloomberg. This development follows the news that Spotify and Archewell Audio, the production company owned by Harry and Meghan Markle, have decided to part ways. The royal couple had previously signed a lucrative three-year deal worth US$20 million with Spotify in 2020. As part of the agreement, they produced a 12-part series called Archetypes, which was hosted by Meghan. Although they were expected to produce and host more podcasts, no additional series have been released thus far. According to Ashley Carman of Bloomberg’s Soundbite newsletter, Harry envisioned interviewing “controversial guests” such as Putin, Trump, and Mark Zuckerberg about their formative years and how those experiences shaped their adult lives. Another idea Harry had was to focus on fatherhood and potentially interview Pope Francis on the topic. However, it seems that none of Harry’s podcast ideas have materialized, as no podcasts hosted by him have been released. Both Spotify and Archewell Audio declined to comment on the matter. Additionally, there were rumors that Meghan did not personally conduct her own interviews for Archetypes. However, these rumors were debunked by Andy Cohen, who vouched for Meghan’s involvement in the podcast and praised its level of research and thoughtfulness. Reports suggest that Harry and Meghan’s deal with Spotify came to an end because they did not meet the productivity expectations required to receive the full payout. They faced criticism from Spotify executive Bill Simmons, who referred to them as “f***ing grifters.” It was also revealed that Spotify executives were unsettled by Harry’s revelation to Oprah Winfrey about signing multi-million-pound deals with Spotify and Netflix to fund his family’s security expenses. This disclosure apparently caught Spotify bosses off guard, as they believed that creating successful podcasts requires significant effort and planning. Since stepping away from their royal duties, Harry and Meghan currently reside in Montecito, California, with their two children. They have released a Netflix docuseries titled Harry and Meghan and Harry has written a memoir entitled Spare. Harry’s most recent involvement in a royal event was attending his father’s coronation and subsequently returning to the US.
