Just four days prior to the highly publicized interview of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex with Oprah Winfrey on CBS, Buckingham Palace made an announcement regarding an investigation into allegations that Meghan Markle had bullied two senior members of the royal staff. These claims were initially reported by The Times of London.
“We are deeply concerned about the allegations made by former staff of The Duke and Duchess of Sussex, as reported in The Times. Accordingly, our HR team will thoroughly examine the circumstances outlined in the article,” stated the palace in a response obtained by Insider on March 3, 2021. The palace referred to the report from The Times of London and mentioned that current and former staff members will have the opportunity to participate in the investigation to identify any valuable lessons.
