The Franklin Police Department has stated that Camilo Hurtado Campos, aged 63, faces charges of child rape and sexual exploitation of a minor. It is anticipated that additional charges will be brought against him.
Restaurant employees initially inspected Campos’ phone to ascertain its owner in order to return the device. However, instead of finding identification details, they uncovered numerous reprehensible videos and images of children. Disturbed by their discoveries, they promptly contacted the police.
Based on information gathered from the phone, the Franklin Police Department estimates that the victims range in age from 9 to 17 years old. Shockingly, there were hundreds of distressing videos and pictures discovered on the device.
In collaboration with local schools, investigators have been working diligently to identify the victims. As of now, two out of a minimum of ten children depicted in the media have been identified.
“The children depicted in these videos were in such a vulnerable state that they may not even realize they are victims,” stated the police report.
