PLDT announces restoration of normal browsing experience

PLDT, the leading telecommunications company in the Philippines, announced on Tuesday morning that it has successfully resolved its issue with its cable partners. This means that subscribers can now enjoy a normal browsing experience.

According to PLDT’s advisory, the normal browsing experience was restored at 6:22 a.m. They also mentioned that their submarine cable partner has provided additional capacity to supplement the loss in internet bandwidth, which caused the slower browsing experience. Subscribers are advised to refresh their connection by restarting their routers.

No specific details were given regarding the reason why Google-related applications and websites were the most affected during the slowdown.
