The inspiration for the collection came from various sources, including the location itself, Bicol, which has always been a place of solace and contemplation for the designers. Additionally, they drew inspiration from brutalist Japanese architecture and the 2021 film “DUNE.”
The gender-neutral pieces presented on the runway featured a palette of whites, blacks, grays, and browns, with a mix of boxy and figure-hugging silhouettes. Reika Mayani emphasized their strength in menswear and their desire to create wearable blazers for both men and women. The collection showcased oversized silhouettes that are unique to .ARCHIVES.
As the “Phases/Faces” show came to a close, models paraded together for a final look, showcasing the creative vision of Co and Mayani.
