A Surge in the Number of ‘Isa Millionaires’ with Over 4,000 People Now Holding Seven-Figure Sums

According to the latest data from HM Revenue & Customs (HMRC), the number of ‘Isa millionaires’ has reached over 4,000.
As of April 2021, 4,070 savers had Isa pots worth more than £1 million. This information was obtained through a freedom of information (FOI) request on behalf of the Openwork Partnership, a financial services network.
The figures show that the number of Isa millionaires has nearly tripled compared to the previous year, rising from 1,480 in 2019/2020.
Furthermore, this total is approximately nine times higher than the 450 Isa millionaires recorded in 2015/16.
The data from April 2021 also reveals that the top 50 Isa investors had an average pot of £8,509,000.
