On October 24, Cristiano Ronaldo delivered an outstanding performance for Al-Nassr in the Asian Champions League, helping his team secure a thrilling 4-3 victory against Al Duhail. The win in Riyadh propelled Al-Nassr to the top of Group E with a perfect record of nine points from three matches.
In the 25th minute, Ronaldo set up Anderson Talisca for the opening goal, followed by Sadio Mane scoring the second. Ronaldo then extended Al-Nassr’s lead with a spectacular long-range goal in the 61st minute.
Despite Al Duhail’s attempts to stage a comeback with goals from Ismaeel Mohammad and Almoez Ali, Ronaldo sealed the victory in the 81st minute with a volley. However, Michael Olunga scored a late goal for Al Duhail, adding tension to the final moments of the match.
With this win, Al-Nassr moved three points ahead of Iran’s Persepolis, who secured a 2-0 victory against FC Istiklol. Alireza Beiranvand made a crucial penalty save in the seventh minute to set the tone for Persepolis’ success.
In Group A, Al-Ain continued their dominant run with a 4-1 victory over Al-Fayha, further solidifying their position in the knockout rounds. Paraguayan Kaku scored two goals, supported by Kouame Kouaido and Soufiane Rahimi.
Led by Kouaido’s well-judged header in the 36th minute, Al-Ain showcased their skills and control of the game. Kaku further extended their lead, and Rahimi closed the match with a late goal after Al-Fayha’s consolation goal by Nawaf Al Harthi.
In another Group A match, Pakhtakor secured their first win of the campaign with a 3-0 victory over the Turkmenistan team. Azizbek Turgunboyev scored twice, and Hojimat Erkinov added another goal to seal the victory for the Uzbek side.
Only the winners of each group will advance to the last 16 of the competition. The top three best runners-up from the eastern and western halves of the draw will also join them in the knockout rounds.
