- Chris Christie: Christie voiced his concerns about Trump’s conduct, stating that it was beneath the dignity of the presidency. He received some backlash from the crowd, but stood by his statement, asserting that booing doesn’t change the truth. He also called for an end to the normalization of such behavior exhibited by Trump.
- Asa Hutchinson: While Hutchinson couldn’t pledge his support for Trump, he cited Republican National Committee rules as the reason. These rules would prohibit backing Trump if he were to be convicted. Hutchinson also mentioned that some conservative scholars believe Trump is already disqualified from running again. - Pardon? Ramaswamy urged Mike Pence to pledge to pardon Trump on his first day in office, as he would. However, Pence only committed to giving fair consideration to any pardon requests if he were to become president.
