A concert film of Taylor Swift’s “The Eras Tour” is set to hit theaters on October 13th, the same day as the next installment of the “Exorcist” horror franchise. This unexpected pairing has sparked excitement and speculation among fans, who have dubbed it “Exorswift.” The #Exorswift hashtag quickly gained traction on social media.
Earlier this summer, Warner Bros. Discovery’s “Barbie” and Universal’s “Oppenheimer” were released on the same day, resulting in a cultural phenomenon and record-breaking box office sales.
The upcoming film “The Exorcist: Believer,” produced by horror studio Blumhouse, takes place 50 years after the original film and features Leslie Odom Jr. and Ellen Burstyn. Can the combination of pop star royalty like Swift and demonic possession create a similar impact?

Swift’s concert film captures the excitement of her record-breaking tour, which was on track to reach $1 billion in sales earlier this summer.
The film will be screened at major theater chains such as AMC, Regal, and Cinemark from Fridays to Sundays until November 5th. This announcement has also had a positive impact on the stock market, with AMC shares seeing a 1% increase.
However, fans faced difficulties purchasing tickets as both AMC Theatres’ website and app experienced high traffic volume and delays.
