However, Trump assured the group that he stands behind Israel “100 percent.” The event also saw former Vice President Mike Pence announcing his withdrawal from the presidential race.
Haley praised Trump’s first-term record on Israel but expressed concerns about the chaos and potential vendettas and drama that may come with a second term. She emphasized the need for a leader who can both make and mend things.
Chris Christie, another GOP candidate, warned against candidates who claim to never be wrong without explicitly mentioning Trump. He also stated that this is a serious moment that requires serious individuals.
Florida Governor Ron DeSantis reaffirmed his support for Israel, highlighting his track record of assisting the country and opposing its enemies.
Earlier this month, some GOP contenders criticized Trump for his comments on Israel following the Hamas attack. Trump, however, reiterated his statement that Hezbollah is “smart.”
