NASA is now giving educational institutions and organizations in the field of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) the chance to acquire historical objects from the agency for instructional purposes. The NASA Artifacts Program started accepting applications on Wednesday, and schools, universities, libraries, and planetariums may submit their applications until the 30th of June. The goal of the program is to inspire and help the next generation of students in their STEM education and to share the awe-inspiring accomplishments of the agency to space enthusiasts. This year’s applicants can browse through thousands of available items, which include technological advancements, achievements, and artifacts from key personnel in space exploration, with some items that have even been to space. NASA has loaned more than 13,000 artifacts since 2009, and the selected entities will be notified of their acceptance and acquisition of items in July. For more information and guidance on submitting an application, visit artifacts.nasa.gov.
