Musk Chooses Las Vegas as the Venue for Zuckerberg’s ‘Cage Match’ Showdown

Elon Musk, the CEO of Tesla and owner of Twitter, jokingly suggested Las Vegas as the location for a “cage match” after reportedly being challenged to a fight by Mark Zuckerberg, the co-founder of Facebook.

Late on Wednesday, Musk tweeted “Vegas Octagon” as a response to an Instagram post by Zuckerberg, who had said “send me location” after Musk confirmed his willingness to participate in a “cage match.”

Cage matches, popularized by mixed martial arts franchises like UFC, refer to fights that take place within an octagonal ring.

The exchange between Musk and Zuckerberg began when Mario Nawfal, the founder and CEO of International Blockchain Consulting, tweeted about META’s plan to release a Twitter rival called THREADS. META, which is Facebook’s parent company, is reportedly working on a standalone, text-based social network app to compete with Twitter.

Musk responded to Nawfal’s tweet by expressing concern about Earth being exclusively controlled by Zuckerberg, with no other options available. Another user warned Musk about Zuckerberg’s skills in ju jitsu.

It is known that Zuckerberg has a white belt in Brazilian jiu jitsu and trains under Dave Camarillo of Guerilla Jiu Jitsu academy, a renowned trainer for UFC champions.

Musk jokingly indicated his willingness to fight Zuckerberg, stating “I’m up for a cage match if he is lol.”

The Verge tech publication has confirmed that Zuckerberg is serious about fighting Elon Musk, and is waiting for details if Musk decides to proceed. A spokesperson for META has yet to comment on the matter.

In another tweet, Musk humorously described his fighting style and mentioned that he rarely works out.
