In July, Wootton appeared on his self-titled GB News programme to acknowledge past mistakes but dismissed the “criminal allegations” as untrue.
Following these claims, the publishers of MailOnline announced in August that his column would be suspended while an investigation is conducted. The Sun newspaper, his previous employer, also confirmed that it initiated its own inquiry into the allegations.
