Miranda Lambert Halts Concert to Address Selfie-Taking Fans; Confesses as One of Them

Miranda Lambert Raises Concerns about Fans Obsessed with Selfies

During a recent concert in Las Vegas, country music star Miranda Lambert made a bold move by pausing her performance and addressing the issue of “selfie-taking” among her fans. In a video capturing the moment, Lambert can be seen halting her rendition of the ballad “Tin Man” to express her frustration. “These girls are more focused on their selfies than actually enjoying the song,” Lambert says in the footage, clearly annoyed by the distraction. The crowd responds positively to her remarks, and Lambert continues with the song. This video, shared on TikTok by an audience member, has gone viral with an impressive 2.4 million views since it was posted on Monday.

Adding to the story, an influencer named Adela Calin has come forward, claiming to be one of the individuals Lambert called out during the concert. Calin, who boasts over 17,000 followers on Instagram, shared a series of concert photos, one of which depicts her and five other women alongside Lambert on stage. In a post on Monday, Calin mentions the incident, stating, “These are the two pictures we were taking when Miranda Lambert interrupted her concert and instructed us to sit down and refrain from taking selfies.”

While Lambert’s frustration is understandable, it is worth noting that the misuse of phones at concerts can have even more serious consequences. This was demonstrated at a recent Bebe Rexha concert in New York City, where the singer was injured when someone threw a phone at her. The incident resulted in a black eye and a cut for Rexha, and the perpetrator, Nicolas Malvagna, was subsequently arrested and charged with assault. Similarly, Drake experienced a similar situation during his Chicago show when an audience member threw a cell phone on stage, as reported by Entertainment Tonight.
