Mike Vrabel Hesitant to Reveal Starting Quarterback for Next Week: Will Levis or Ryan Tannehill?

Titans coach Mike Vrabel is facing a tough decision about who will start as quarterback in the upcoming game against the Buccaneers. Will Levis has been filling in for Ryan Tannehill, who has been dealing with an ankle injury. However, when asked if he’s ready to name a starting quarterback for next week, Vrabel stated that he’s not prepared to do so just yet.

In an interview with SI.com, Vrabel explained, “No, I’m not ready to do that yet. I think we’ll have a conversation with the depth chart over the weekend and we’ll have the depth chart or something close to it available when we talk to you on Tuesday to go through the moving parts. This includes Ryan’s health and any issues with the offensive line following the previous game.”

Vrabel also made it clear that he won’t make a decision about Tannehill’s return as the starting quarterback until he is fully recovered and cleared to play. He stated, “When Ryan is healthy, I will have a decision for you.”

Prior to his injury, Tannehill was struggling this season, and the Titans had a 2-4 record. Levis showed promise in his first start, leading the Titans to a win against the Falcons. However, he faced difficulties in the recent loss to the Steelers on Thursday night.

With a record of 3-5, the Titans are in need of consistent quarterback play if they hope to make a playoff run during the second half of the season. However, Vrabel is still uncertain about who will step up as the quarterback for the team.
